PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate flat by polishing the whole circumferential surface of a part corresponding to the flat of a wheel with a rolling stock present thereon. SOLUTION: This wheel polishing device is provided with a first movable member 4 supporting a drive wheel 2 interlocked with a motor 1 and driven wheels 3 separated in the upper and lower parts of the drive wheel 2, a polishing belt 5 laid between the drive wheel 2 and the driven wheels 3, a second movable member 6 relatively movably supporting the first movable member 4, a reciprocating mechanism 7 reciprocating the first movable member 4 relative to the second movable member, a stationary body 8 relatively movably supporting the second movable member 6 in the direction crossing with the reciprocating direction of the first movable member 4, a screw shaft 8 rotatably supported to the stationary body 8, and an energizing spring 10 interposed between the screw shaft 9 and the second movable member 6.
