PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize high-quality transmission by facilitating the operation which a direction adjuster makes to receives electric waves with few errors even when there is an error count output but there is not error flag output as a specification of an input/output signal of an error correction decoder. SOLUTION: The digital transmission unit is composed of a transmitter and a receiving system having a transmission path decoder, wherein the unit further has an error flag converter that converts an error production state represented by an error count into an error flag, and a video image converter that converts the error flag obtained from the error flag converter into a video signal.
