PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus and recording medium capable of efficiently appealing the improved print quality. SOLUTION: In a digital laboratory system, a picked-up image recorded on a photographic film is read with a CCD, the read original image is subjected to correction processing, printed and exposed on a photographic paper, and the paper is developed. Also, differential data are generated from the corrected image data and the original image data; a display program for comparing and displaying the original image and the corrected image are recorded in a CD-R disk together with the generated differential data, the corrected image data, and corrected data indicating the corrected details; and the disk is provided to a user. When the user runs the display program recorded on the CD-R disk on a personal computer, the original image and the corrected image are displayed so as to be compared with each other, and description representing the corrected details according to the corrected data is displayed.
