A damper system 400 includes a sensor 430, an electrical controller 2295 and an actuator 410. The sensor measures 430 mechanical vibration and produces an electrical input signal caused by the vibration. The sensor 430 mounts between a body and a reference mass 422. The electrical controller 2295 is responsive to the electrical input signal and producing an electrical output signal. The actuator 410 is responsive to the electrical output signal to produce a force between the body and an external body. The sensor 430 and the actuator 410 are located substantially to reduce delay, which consists of the sum of an acoustic signal delay and an electronic signal delay in the actuator 410 and the sensor loop.
