LENS WITH IR CUT FILTER, METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SAME AND SMALL CAMERA

A glass plano-convex lens (2a, 2c) in which one refractive surface is a flat face (21) and the other refractive surface is a convex face (22) is provided with an IR blocking dielectric multilayer film (3) for blocking infrared rays on one of the faces. A lens forming body (26) for multi-production is made of glass by integrally providing a surface of a flat plate (25) with convex portions (24) for convex lenses. After forming an IR blocking dielectric multilayer film (3) on one face of the lens forming body (26), the convex portions (24) are separated from each other by cutting portions of the flat plate (25) of the lens forming body (26). The thus-obtained lens (1c) with an IR cut filter is used as a condenser for a small camera. This lens with an IR cut filter enables reduction of the cost which has been a problem caused when a lens with an IR cut filter used as a condenser for a candid camera or the like is made of glass. A method for manufacturing the lens with IR cut filter and a candid camera are also disclosed.
