<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrostatic charge image developing toner which does not generate ozone odors and reduces the contamination of a contact member with the toner by a contact charging system. <P>SOLUTION: The toner is used for an image forming method having the steps of: electrostatically charging a photoreceptor by a contact charging member which has a surface resistance 20 to 160 MΩ and is biased; forming an electrostatic latent image on the charged photoreceptor; developing the electrostatic latent image by the toner containing at least a binder resin and colorant; transferring the toner image on the photoreceptor to a transfer material; and heat fixing the toner image on the transfer material. The binder resin contains: at least a polyol resin (I) synthesized by reacting an epoxy resin (a), dihydric phenol (b), and a resin (c) with each other, the resin (c) being obtained by reacting an alkylene oxide addition product of the dihydric phenol with polyvalent carboxylic acid; and a graft polymer (II) consisting of a vinyl based monomer having a solubility parameter (SP) value ranging from 10.6 to 12.6 as ingredients. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
