<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control valve type lead acid storage battery superior in discharge standing characteristics and cycle life characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: A positive electrode plate, a negative electrode plate, and a separator before formation are laminated, and by welding, the electrode plates group are manufactured. After the electrode plates group are inserted into the battery case, a lid is fitted, and by filling dilute sulfuric acid electrolytic solution, the battery case is chemically formed. After forming the battery case, the control valve type lead acid storage battery is discharged until the specific gravity of the electrolytic solution becomes 1.025-1.100. Then by carrying out a treatment of leaving it standing for 20-60 hours in that state, the control valve type lead acid storage battery is manufactured. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
