<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power source controller and a power source controlling method capable of flexibly controlling a power source in compliance with a changed schedule of a user. <P>SOLUTION: A control part 10 in a home server 1 checks schedule contents of the user in a memory 11, and if it is time planned to go out, the control part 10 checks detection conditions of sensors 6 and 7 before performing power source breaking processing for various home electric appliances 5. If a user is detected by the sensors 6 and 7, the control part 10 executes excitation of the power source for the home electric appliances 5 around the sensors 6 and 7.
