<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an airbag device of a vehicle capable of protecting an occupant against the shocks from multiple directions while effectively utilizing the upward space in the cabin. <P>SOLUTION: An inflator and the airbag are formed as an integrally modulated airbag unit 7, and the airbag unit 7 is disposed inside the cabin of a roof 6 at the position corresponding to the above the occupant's seat disposed in the cabin. The airbag is constituted to develop so as to surround the occupant sitting on the occupant's seat. Since the airbag is constituted to develop so as to surround the occupant sitting on the occupant's seat, the occupant can be protected against the shocks from multiple directions.
