PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a throughput characteristic by increasing diversity gains upon transmission and packet combination simultaneously in muticarrier communication. SOLUTION: A mapping controller 107 instructs a subcarrier for mapping data on the basis of the frequency of reception of a NACK signal for each unit of data to be transmitted. Mappers 108-1, 108-2 map the data to be transmitted according to the sizes of phase and amplitude with the subcarrier instructed by the controller 107. An interleaver controller 109 instructs an interleave pattern on the basis of the frequency of reception of the NACK signal for each data unit to be transmitted. An interleaver 110-1 rearranges data by changing the interleave pattern according to the instruction of the interleaver controller 109.
