PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a carbon fiber reinforced thermoplastic resin composition excellent in mechanical properties, electric conductivity and moldability, a molding material and a molded article molded using the molding material. SOLUTION: The carbon fiber reinforced thermoplastic resin composition contains a component (A) and a component (B) as follows. The component (A), 25-99wt.%, is at least a thermoplastic resin selected from the group consisting of a polycarbonate, styrene resin, polyamide, polyester, polyphenylene sulfide, modified polyphenylene ether, polyetherimide, polyolefin and polyacetal resin. The component (B), 1-75wt.%, is a carbon fiber obtained by applying 0.1-5wt.% of a copolymer at least containing 55-99wt.% of a salt of a diamine having an oxyalkylene group and a dicarboxylic acid as a component (c1) and 1-45wt.% of an amino acid, a lactam and/or a salt of a diamine and a dicarboxylic acid as a component (c2) based on 100wt.% of the carbon fiber.
