PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dissolve a problem of reflection, etc. due to difference in brightness, stain, dust, etc., resulting from an inclusion between a pattern projector and an imaging system for monitor. SOLUTION: Pattern projectors 10, 11 are arranged so that two projectors are overlapped in the stripe pattern direction, so called a stack system and the same pattern is projected. The imaging system (camera 1) 12 is arranged between the pattern projectors 10, 11. Optical axes of the pattern projectors 10, 11, the imaging system 12 are aligned on the same plane in parallel with the stripe pattern direction. In addition, principal points are also become the same on the plane. An image of a stripe pattern is directly picked up by the imaging system 12 without interposing a half mirror, etc. and re-encoded. An image of the re-encoded stripe pattern is picked up by an imaging system 13, decoded and distance of an object is measured by triangulation based on a corresponding point of the image.
