PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow an image processing system for a network environment to provide image processing desired by the user as necessary, without making the user conscious of it. SOLUTION: The image processing system has a plug-in data server 3 connected to a network to store an image processing program for subjecting image data to predetermined image processing. A PC server 2, when receiving a request for the image processing on the image data, downloads from the plug-in data server 3 the image processing program for executing the image processing requested.
