PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera whose camera body is compact even when it is equipped with a data imprinting device. SOLUTION: A plurality of light emitting elements 141 arrayed one-dimensionally are arrayed in the width direction of photographic film. An image forming lens 142 having an optical axis inclined with respect to the optical axis of a photographic lens is disposed to guide light emitted from the elements 141 to a photographic aperture 170. A mask member is also provided on the outside of a lens barrel 101 between the element 141 and the lens 142 so that the light emitted from the light emitting element and reflected by a partition may not enter the lens 142. By narrowing space between the aperture 170 and a cartridge chamber 160 or a film take-up chamber 150, the periphery part of the lens barrel is compactly kept. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
