PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for exterminating vespid through quickly closing the entrance/exit holes of a vespid nest and remarkably reducing the use of an insecticide with significantly improved economy and workability of vespid exterminating operation and improved safety, and to provide a device suitable for the exterminating operation. SOLUTION: The method for exterminating vespid comprises the following practice. An operator approaches a vespid nest, a mixture of an acrylic resin and paraffin is sprayed on the entrance/exit holes of the nest to solidify the mixture so as to close the holes, and an insecticide is then sprayed at several points from the outside into the nest to exterminate the whole vespid. The device for capturing vespid flying outside comprises a board folded in two with an adhesive-coated surface inside and a hanging member of rodlike and bendable board, wherein the upper half blank of the folded board is provided with a hole for threading the hanging member therethrough, while the lower half blank is provided with a receiving tray for preventing vespid from dropping off.
