A cargo space contains several horizontal carrying beams (1) to form an additional load level above a cargo space floor. When not under load, each beam has a curvature in a direction towards the load to be carried, and each has at least one tensioning element (2). This limits the curvature of a loaded beam to a set limit. The beam has a rectangular profile, and is of steel or aluminum. The tensioning element is e.g. a cable, chain, etc. (20) subjected to tensile stress, passing through the hollow interior (15) of the beam, and with two ends (21,22) connected to two points on a beam.
|
