The seat cover (7) consists of an outer covering (8) and a felt layer (9) below it. The outer covering is of a textile material, and both it and the felt are biodegradable, and can esp. be composted. The felt is at least partially produced from waste material of the outer covering generated during manufacture. A heating wire (11) of compostable material, esp. carbon, is worked into the felt layer, to form a heater (10) in the area of the seat part. Covering and felt are sewn together in this area. The seat consists of a seat part (3) and a backrest (4).
