The unit comprises a dosing cylinder block (24) containing dosing pistons (13) and a row of dosing or injection holes (30). The block is releasably mounted in the machine frame (1) and be oriented at an acute angle relative to the output plane. Mechanisms are provided for forming a tight connection between the block and an outlet hopper (6) for a storage reservoir (5), moving the reservoir relative to the block in order to allow the latter to be removed from the machine frame and for locking and sealing the block in the working position. A multi-dosing and injection unit for dosing and/or injecting bakery products such as cake dough or jam filling comprises a relatively flat and elongated dosing cylinder block containing a number of dosing pistons and at least one row of dosing or injection holes. The block is releasably mounted in the machine frame and be oriented at an acute angle of e.g. several deg. to 25 deg. relative to the output plane. A first mechanism (26, 27) is provided for forming a tight connection between the block and an outlet hopper for a storage reservoir containing the material to be dosed/injected. A second mechanism (10-12) is provided for moving the reservoir relative to the block in order to allow the latter to be quickly and easily removed from the machine frame, e.g. for complete removal, cleaning, maintenance, repair or replacement. A third mechanism (33, 34, 36-38) is provided for locking and sealing the block in the working position in the machine frame.
