<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform printing by designating a paper supply tray which is designated by a user, to facilitate releasing of tray-lock after printing, and to efficiently use the used paper supply tray by a simple operation. <P>SOLUTION: When a release condition of the tray-lock is "interval of targeting jobs" (step S42:Yes), judgment in relation to the release condition at a time of resetting the job is made. When the release at a time of resetting the job is set (step 43: No), judgment of the release condition along the run-out of a paper sheet is made. In the case where setting of releasing of the tray-lock because of the run-out of the paper sheet is made (step S44: Yes), when the paper sheet is in the run-out condition (step S45: Yes), it is judged whether or not asking to a user is necessary. When it is necessary (step S60: Yes), the releasing is judged.
