PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus and a process cartridge which prevents toner scattered by diffusion by means of a sticking material diffusing means from sticking to arranged objects around electrifying members etc.

SOLUTION: The space between the region surrounded by a casing 47 where the diffused remaining toner after transfer exists and the surface of photoreceptor drum and an electrifying roller is shielded by the casing 47 and Mylar 46 in such a manner that the remaining toner after transfer which is diffused by a brush roller 41 for diffusing the remaining toner after transfer stuck on the photoreceptor drum does not stick to the electrifying roller 3a arranged around the photoreceptor drum. Thereby, even when the toner is scattered by the brush roller, the toner is prevented from sticking to the electrifying roller.
