<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To impart amusement to image and audio reproduction in an image/audio reproducing apparatus for reproducing a still picture with audio recorded therewith. <P>SOLUTION: When a still picture file with audio is selected as a result of judgement in a step S101, it is judged whether the file is provided with audio in the past (step S103). When the file is found to be provided with the audio in the past as a result of judgement in the step S103, reproduction is started from the beginning of the audio in the past (step S107) on the basis of the audio data and the temporal relationship between an audio reproducing timing at present and the time until the photographing timing when the still picture was photographed arrives is displayed with counting-down (step S108). Next, it is judged whether the photographing timing has arrived (step S109).
