<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify a process in an image input device even if it is connected to an image output device of a different output form. <P>SOLUTION: A digital camera 30 is connected as an USB device to an image output device 40 of a different image output form, and a command is transmitted with a very short time intervals from the image output device 40 to the digital camera 30 to inquire about a request by the use of an interrupt pipe. When there is a request from the digital camera 30 in the response to operate the image output device 40, various kinds of control commands are transmitted regardless of the output form of the image output device 40. The image output device 40 operates interpreting the received control command on the basis of its output form. Since the same command is used regardless of the output form of the image output device 40, the processing in the digital camera 30 can be simplified. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
