PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antiseismic reinforcement construction method for an existing building which shortens construction time by simplifying work. SOLUTION: In the antiseismic reinforcement construction method for the existing building, a U-shaped steel pipe 9 with a U-shaped cross section is installed so that a lip 3 contacts an existing pillar 1, and mortar 18 is placed in a spaced formed by the U-shaped steel pipe and the existing pillar. By this, assembly work of a form for filling mortar is excluded, and the construction time and cost can be reduced. Work from only outside of the existing building is made possible also.
