PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable navigation part usable by itself even when removed from a vehicle, and to improve its usability and convenience when removed. SOLUTION: This navigation device is provided with: an on-vehicle database 22 fixedly mounted on the vehicle; the portable navigation part 3 attachably and detachably installed in the vehicle. The navigation part 3 has: a RAM 32 for writing partial information out of map information stored in the database 22; and a display 33 for displaying the map information written in the RAM 32.
