METAL FOIL FOR CAPACITOR, SOLID ELECTROLYTIC CAPACITOR USING THE FOIL, AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foil of chemical product which enables the manufacturing of a capacitor element having few variations in capacitance and the shape of the element, and a method of manufacturing the same. SOLUTION: A slit is made on the capacitor element so that at least a part serving as the anode lead-in part of the capacitor element remains on a valve action metal foil. Thereafter, a metal foil for the capacitor is manufactured by etching and chemical conversion. Etching is preferably performed after a surface of the valve action metal foil is protected by a protective material on the part serving as the anode lead-in part of the capacitor element.
