PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor which is not only excellent in liquid coating stability, produces less air bubbles in a coating liquid, decreases image defects, has high sensitivity and high durability, obviates the degradation in image quality of the multiple photographs taken on the spot, the degradation in sensitivity, cleaning defect, etc., by film depletion and has excellent lubricity and mechanical characteristics. SOLUTION: The electrophotographic photoreceptor is formed by disposing a photosensitive layer on a conductive substrate, in which the photosensitive layer contains at least a polycarbonate resin including the recurring structural units expressed by general formula (3-1).
