PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of surely suppressing toner scattering form a four-color toner image which is a multiple toner image carried by an intermediate transfer belt 10 which is a multiple image carrier. SOLUTION: A counter electrode member 500 consisting of iron or stainless steel, etc. is arranged in the vicinity of an intermediate transfer belt 10 so as to be opposed to the belt 10 through a prescribed gap. The counter electrode member 500 is worked like a curved shape so as to be opposed to a stretched part of the belt 10 which is stretched by a stretch roller 14 for stretching the belt 10 on the downstream side of an intermediate transfer nip for K and the front and back of the stretched part out of the whole intermediate transfer belt 10. The length (depth direction size in figure) of the member 500 is longer than belt width and the whole stretched part can be covered with the member 500. A power supply circuit 501 is connected to the member 500, so that negative polarity bias having the same polarity as belt potential (same polarity also as toner) is impressed to the member 500.
