PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silver halide color photographic sensitive material having high sensitivity and excellent in shelf stability and pressure resistance. SOLUTION: In the silver halide color photographic sensitive material having on a support unit blue-, green- and red-sensitive silver halide emulsion layers each consisting of two or more color-sensitive layers different from each other in sensitivity, at least one compound having at least three hetero atoms per molecule and increasing photographic sensitivity is contained and at least one of the color-sensitive layers comprises a silver halide emulsion in which tabular grains having (111) faces as principal planes, wherein when the silver iodide content of the top surface layers of the tabular grains is represented by I<SB>1</SB>mol% at the principal plane parts and by I<SB>2</SB>mol% at the lateral face parts, the expression I<SB>2</SB>/I<SB>1</SB><1 is satisfied, occupy≥50% of the total projected area of all silver halide grains.
