PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To separate rare-earth elements and actinoid elements easily and effectively. SOLUTION: By a separating method and an extraction liquid which are characterized in that the actinoid elements are extracted and separated from the rare-earth elements by using an extraction liquid containing TPEN, preferably one containing TPEN and D2EHPA, such actinoid elements as americium and curium contained in a high-level waste liquid and rare-earth elements can be extracted and separated efficiently.
