PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a high-density woven fabric composed of a synthetic fiber excellent in a spinning property and an ultraviolet light-blocking property and having high strength and moisture-permeable waterproofness regardless of softness and lightweight and particularly suitable for sports clothes. SOLUTION: The high-density woven fabric excellent in whiteness has≥1,500 sum of a cover factor of warp and weft and contains≥200ppm organic white pigment in the warp and the weft and is composed of a synthetic fiber having≤1.0 decitex single yarn fineness. The synthetic fiber is preferably a polyester multifilament having≤100 decitex and≤0.7 decitex single yarn fineness and preferably has≤150g/m2basis weight. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
