METHOD FOR MEASURING TEMPERATURE OF SEMI-SOLIDIFIED METAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for measuring a temperature of semi-solidified metal by which metal amount stuck to a thermometer is suppressed to prevent the thermometer from being damaged due to the contact with the semi-solidified metal when the temperature in the inner part of the semi-solidified metal is measured with the thermometer having a thermocouple. SOLUTION: When the inner part temperature is measured by inserting the thermometer having the thermocouple at the tip part into the solid-liquid co-existing state semi-solidified metal produced in a vessel, a rod is inserted from the surface of the semi-solidified metal (b), and the rod is taken out to form a hole part on the surface, the liquid-phase domain is formed in the hole part (c), and then the thermometer is inserted into the liquid-phase domain thereby measuring the temperature (d).
