APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR SUPPORTING STRIP FOR HORIZONTAL LOOPER

PURPOSE: A strip supporting apparatus for horizontal looper and a strip supporting method for horizontal looper are provided to prevent skewness by supporting a central part of loaded strip using a supporting device for supporting the strip and improve surface quality of the strip by rotating guide rolls in the same speed as a strip proceeding speed. CONSTITUTION: The strip supporting apparatus for horizontal looper comprises a body(31) at one side surface of which a moving motor(32) is installed so that the body is moved along rails(101) installed inside a horizontal looper installed between front process and rear process of a continuous annealing line; a plural guiding rolls(37) installed inside the body to support strip; a rotation motor(34) for rotating the guiding rolls so that a proceeding speed of the strip is interlockingly connected with the guiding rolls; and a plural rotation gears(36) installed at the body to transmit rotary power of the rotation motor to the guiding rolls.
