To produce an agent for improving drug adsorption by a mucous layer in the digestive tract, use is made of one or more members selected from among polyethylene glycol, polyethylene oxide and polyoxyethylene-polypropylene copolymer having 17 or more moles of single chain length ethylene oxide adde d per molecule. By applying such an agent to a drug having an activity against Helicobacter pylori, the pharmacological effect of the drug can be enhanced.
