<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cost estimation system for finding cost with respect to each of a plurality of components constituting a product by a rough estimation, and also performing a detailed estimation with respect to a necessary component. <P>SOLUTION: The cost estimation system 10 is provided with a rough cost estimation device 20 and a detailed cost estimation device 40. The rough cost estimation device is provided with a component cost on the basis of past results with respect to each of a plurality of components constituting the product and a cost results database 22 storing a first cost data indicating an assembly cost required for assembling the plurality of components based on the past results. The detailed cost estimation device automatically computes a second cost based on modification of at least either one condition of a material, shape or processing method with respect to each of the plurality of components. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
