<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processor and a display control method capable of lowering the power consumption of a touch pad device with an LCD in compliance with the condition of a device as a whole. <P>SOLUTION: A control program 300 acquires external event information to determine whether an item of a first/second event is generated or not (ST11). If a first/second event in a condition different from that of a current table 30 is generated, the generated first/second event is stored as a current event in a current table 303 (ST15).
