PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To partially control a color without damaging the gradation or continuity of the color in a method for converting the color of a certain color space coordinate system to another color on the same color space. SOLUTION: A control target color space P0 including a movement target partial color space P1 including a color to be a target of conversion processing and a movement destination partial color space P2 including a converted color so as to be inscribed is handled as a conversion target area P. In the conversion target area P, a color point of a control target is moved to be overlapped on a color point after the movement toward a target color, and a boundary of the moving area is hard by moved or is not moved at all. Thus, a phenomenon such as color skipping or gradation inversion does hard by occur in the boundary portion with the outside of the control target area. Therefore, partial color control is performed while making compatible maintenance of continuity of gradation and prevention of inverse color conversion in an image as a color control target.
