PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a PDP achieving satisfactory image display, the method including the step of forming a phosphor layer by ejecting phosphor ink from a nozzle into a space between barrier ribs, in which the phosphor layer can be formed in a region excluding a portion of the barrier rib if the portion intersecting the scanning direction of the nozzle. SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing a plasma display panel includes the step of removing a portion of the phosphor layer applied to a portion of the barrier rib intersecting the scanning direction of the nozzle by photolithography. This enables formation of the phosphor layer except in the portion of the barrier rib intersecting the scanning direction of the nozzle. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
