PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide conductive powder which can be painted at low cost, composed of Indium oxide containing Sn having excellent conductivity and transmissivity, and to provide a transparent conductive coating film. SOLUTION: The conductive powder is obtained by heating hydroxide of In containing trivalent element and Sn obtained by neutralizing an acidic solution containing In and Sn, and a solution containing three valent element except In, by an alkali, at 300-1,000°C. The shape of the powdered particle is of a stick or needle-shape with a length of 500 nm or less and a width of 100 nm or less with the ratio of the lengths of 1.5 to 10, or of a ball or a grain-shape with a diameter of 200 nm or less.
