PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a stretchable warp knitted fabric which is sufficiently expanded and contracted not only in the warp direction but also in the weft direction, is stuck fast to the affected part without imposing a burden on the affected part and in the case of application to a joint part, is expanded and contracted following the bending and stretching of a joint. SOLUTION: In the stretchable warp knitted fabric in which an elastic warp is inserted into each warp knitting yarn of a plurality of warp knitting yarns knitted in chain stitches and wefts connect the warp knitting yarns at every two or more warp knitting yarns, the wefts are composed of nonelastic wefts and elastic wefts and a nonstretchable part in which the nonelastic wefts are inserted and a stretchable part in which the elastic wefts are inserted so as to connect the adjoining nonstretchable parts are alternately formed in the weft direction.
