PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for charging a raw material into a blast furnace, which stabilizes a dropping trajectory of the raw material, by keeping an accumulation level of the raw material constant in a storage hopper in a lower part of a fixed hopper. SOLUTION: The method for charging the raw material to a bellless blast furnace comprises charging the raw material while controlling the degree of opening of a top flow control gate 10 in the lower part of the fixed hopper on the basis of a level meter 7 installed in the storage hopper 5, so as to stabilize the storage level of the raw material, simultaneously calculating the average degree of opening of the top flow control gate 10 in the above step, and on the basis of the value, determining the initial degree of opening of the top flow control gate 10 in charging the next raw material.
