PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely extinguish a light of a cigarette butt, to provide the use as a desk ashtray and to simply and rapidly recover the cigarette butt. SOLUTION: A cigarette light extinguishing tool is placed on a table or a desk, etc., for use and composed so as to extinguish the light of the cigarette butt by jetting an incombustible gas. A cigarette butt housing container is designed to remove a lid body when the container is filled with the cigarette butt extinguished with the incombustible gas jetted from an incombustible gas cylinder. Furthermore, the incombustible gas cylinder is designed to take out only the cigarette butt housing container in an elongated state of a gas hose from the upper opening of an incombustible exterior finish material while leaving the incombustible gas cylinder in the incombustible exterior finish material and recover the cigarette butt in the interior thereof.
