PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image recorder that can perform recording in a uniform image density by avoiding a trouble that may occur in the writing by multi-beams using a laser diode array or the like or may occur according to a combination of a plurality of laser diode light sources selected when an identical line is recorded in the conversion of the density. SOLUTION: This image recorder comprises a laser diode array having a plurality of light sources arranged on one chip and an image data means for generating image data by each light source of the laser diode. The image recorder records an image on a surface of a photosensitive body by scanning a laser beam from the light source modulated according to the image data by using a rotational polygon mirror. The image recorder further comprises a data conversion means for respectively converting modulation data for the laser diode light sources provided to the end sections in the laser diode array.
