The circular foot (50) supports a ball bearing (80) which a lower race (823) accommodating balls (83) which in turn support an upper race (813). A large diameter disk (60) has a groove (62) in the underside accommodating a flange on the upper race and has a central bore (61). The disk has a raised rim and a wide shallow groove surrounding a central boss. An upper disk (70) of slightly greater diameter than the boss carries the spirit lamp (77) and is centered by a screw in a bore (741). There is an insulating element (76) holding the lamp and resting in a depression (74) in the support disk.
