DEVICE FOR REDUCING VIBRATION OF DISC DRIVE

PURPOSE: A device for reducing vibration of a disc drive is provided to effectively absorb the vibration generated when a disc is rotated in a low speed. CONSTITUTION: A pickup base(30) is equipped with a spindle motor(32) including a turntable(34), and a shock-absorbing device(36) for damping a shock. A front end of the pickup base is elevated by linking with a loading/unloading operation of the disc. A clamp(40) prevents the disc seat on the turntable from being slipped on the turntable by fixing the disc to the turntable. An elastic tool applies elastic force to a direction that the clamp is stuck to the turntable. The elastic tool is a damper(50) comprising a ball seat installed to the clamp and a ball. Accepted to the ball seat in a state supported by a spring, the ball is contacted to a cabinet by the elastic force of the spring.
