PURPOSE: Provided is a cosmetic composition which contains an Gyeji extract obtained from the branches of Cinnamomum cassia with an excellent sterilizing effect on staphylococcus aureus causing atopic dermatitis to mitigate and prevent the atopic dermatitis. CONSTITUTION: A cosmetic composition contains 0.1-10wt.% of an essential oil of the Gyeji extract. The cosmetic composition is made in the form of a body lotion or a body cleaner. The cosmetic composition further contains C14-22 alcohol or C14-22 alkylglucoside, behenyl alcohol, squalane, 1,3-butylene glycol, and purified water.
