APPARATUS FOR PRE-HEATING INK IN INK JET PRINTER/PLOTTER

PURPOSE: An apparatus for pre-heating ink in an ink jet printer/plotter is provided to constantly maintain the temperature of ink and the internal temperature of an ink tank while ink is being transferred into a head. CONSTITUTION: An ink tank(100) is installed in a heating chamber. An upper surface of the ink tank(100) is opened in order to receive ink and to install an ink level sensor thereon. The heating chamber is made from various materials depending on positions of a heating member and a temperature sensor(400). If the heating member is attached to an inner wall or an outer surface of the heating chamber, the heating chamber is made from a metal, such as aluminum or an aluminum alloy. If the heating chamber is made from a material having superior thermal conductivity, a position of the temperature sensor(400) with respect to the heating chamber is not limited.
