The door stop has a locking slide running in a guide rail (1,2) attached to the door leaf. The slide runs along the floor under its own weight and engages into a recess (7) provided in the floor (8) to hold the door in place. the lower end of the slide can have a roller to run along the floor. The slide can be formed as a rod.
