The twist-beam rear axle comprises two longitudinal links (2,3) connected by a cross member (4) which consists of a profile with an open center section (5) with an oval elongated cut-out (8). The member length of the cross member in the center section, measured in cross section over the circumference, continuously reduces from the ends (6,7) to the middle (M) of the cross member, whereby the cross member in the middle has a semi-circular cross section with an angle at circumference of 180 degrees. |
