The sliding glass door has a release mounting system in a positive fit between the cover plate (5) and a profile (12), with sealing between the cover plate and the glass panel (4). An elastic component (6) has a channel (61) to take a holding rib (52) at the cover plate, and a lock (62) which is pressed against the profile to give the positive fit. A sealing lip (63), e.g. of foam rubber, is pressed against the glass panel when the lock is in place.
