Electrical unit, operating as a teleservice adapter (24) sets up a communication link between an automation component (21) belonging to an automation system (20) and a remote communications unit (23). The adapter has a connection management component (25) that enables the automation component to see the remote communications unit that it would not otherwise be able to address. An Independent claim is made for a method for communicating between an automation system component and a remote communications unit using the connection management component of a teleservice adapter.
